ODINANI na OMENANI

(1) ODINANI:

What is Odinani?


Odinani in English is called Aborigine, which means something that has been existing in a place from a very early period of time that has been revealed to the early men (Akpuruchukwu, Aro na Eri) by Chukwu.


Odinani bu ife di adi, nwa nwa lo uwa okwudo ya.


Such as chukwu, anyanwu na agbara, onwa, mmili, iti mmonwu, ekwensu, anyasi, mmadu, mmuo, igo mmuo, iwa oji, igo ofo, isopuru okenye,


Ikpe, onwu, ndu, iwu, ikwa ozu, omumu nwa, ilu nwanyi, ime ego isi nwanyi, omugwo, Ile ngwo, igba nu, Ido agbata arusi, igo arusi, (not ikpere arusi) ikwa ngwuru,


Ilu ulo, izu umu, Ichu aja, ime saraka, igwo ogwu, ilu agwu, ime agwu, ilo mmuo, isi nri, ilo Ani obi, agha, ilu agha. Ikpa nso, ikpa enunu ezi. Nkuzi, nka na uzu, icho mma, ichu nta etc.


All these things and a lot more have been part of Igbo man from a very early period of human existence. Therefore, Odinani is called an aborigine.

(2) OMENANI: What is Omenani?

Omenani in English is called tradition or custom, which means the way things is being done in a particular geographical setting.


Odinani is one, but human approach to them varies from place to place; these variables, variations, or differences from one town to another is what is called omenani. Omenani ndi, di fa mma.


Examples: Igbo Nile nwere odinani Ile omugwo, mana uzo digasi iche iche ka obodo digasi iche iche SI ele ya dika omenani fa Siri di.


Iti mmanwu but odinani Igbo, mana omenani iti mmanwu dikwa iche iche na obodo obuna.


Igbo Nile na alu nwanyi (odinani) mana obodo obuna nwere udi di iche iche ha so alu nwanyi (omenani).


Omenani has to do with peculiar made up approach to the kingdom matters. It came about based on variations in human perceptions and level of consciousness.


Variations in human understanding gave rise to Omenani to compensate for this variations because every body needs to be carried along.


(3) Culture is called people's way of life. That is to say usoro obibi ndu in a place. Methodology
