Why do women cheat in relationship
Why do men cheat in relationship
To answer this question, we have to interpret the word cheating first to know if men actually cheat or not.
Cheating means taking what belong to another unfairly, i.e., taking an unfair advantage of another 's property, etc.
Now we have these kinds of relationships:
Friendship
Marital relationship
Spiritual relationship
In what way can a friend cheat his friend?
It could be by using deceit to exploit or make an unfair gain or steal by tricks.
But if a male friend double dates, does it amount to cheating ?
No! Not at all, the
His body belongs to him and to him alone; his female friend doesn't own him and has no right to claim his ownership. The man has the right to decide how many female friends to have or not, and it is also the right of the female counterpart to decide whether she is comfortable with that or not. If she is uncomfortable, she has the right to quit and look for a person that doesn't like to double date.
This is a matter of character trait, belief system, upbringing, environmental influences, geographical background, etc. These factors tend to affect our sense of reasoning and consciousness. So in a friendship you as a lady cannot claim that the man is cheating on you if the man has never taken what belongs to you unjustly.
Double dating is not cheating; it stems from sex hormones and state of consciousness and belief system. It is natural for a man or woman to fall in love with plenty of women when the conditions necessary to stir up the emotions are met. Righteousness cannot stop you from falling in love when your weak point is touched. No matter whom you claim to be, you can't cheat nature. Every of us, both men and women, fall in love daily.
Despite our spirituality. Maka na akwara amaghi uma. It is natural, and no prayer can stop it. That is how we humans were created to be. You can only pretend never to be in love, but on the inside, you are dying; the fire of love is burning in you. This is not a sin but a call of nature. You can't cheat another in what belongs to him. You can only give to whom you wish to. The consequence is yours and yours alone; nobody will bear it for you.
A married woman who has extramarital affairs is cheating because she is a property of another person and is taking what rightly belongs to another man and giving it to another man secretly without the owner's permission, but if the owner permits it, then it is not cheating. Then a married man that has extramarital affairs doesn't cheat, because he doesn't belong to any woman; a man can't be owned by any woman.
The rule is very simple.
But if the woman doesn't want to be under a man, she shouldn't marry; let her stay single and bear children or adopt children.
In marital relationship;
Can man cheat?
If you, as a woman or a man, say that a man can cheat in marriage, it simply means that you do not know what it means to be a husband or a wife.
A man when married is not on an equal pace with the wife; that doesn't mean that the woman has to be deprived of her fundamental human right.
If you say that a man cheats on his wife, it simply means they have equal authority. That is not Aboriginal marriage.
In marriage the man is in a place of authority; the woman is not in a place of authority.
The woman has rights but not authority.
Authority means being in charge, being in control,
The woman is subject to her husband.
Her husband is her lord, (onye nwe ya)
Lordships means you as a wife belong to your husband, like property, but property gets levels, not like that of tables and chairs. If the woman becomes dissatisfied with staying under the man because of his behaviours, she has to nullify the union.
The lordship or ownership of the man over his wife is displayed in the payment of dowry or bride price; it means the man owns his wife and owes her love and care.
That doesn't mean that the man has to obey his wife, no; the man can listen to her. So in terms of cheating, if a man has sexual intercourse outside marriage, he did not cheat on the wife because men are polygamous in nature; if a man falls in love with another woman, he can still marry her, provided he can take care of both.
I don't understand where this cheating thing came from. If a married man falls in love with another woman, there is no way they can relate without one day having sex. That is not cheating; a king is not property of the queen.
If you agree that the man cheats, what you are saying in effect is that the woman owns the man, so I don't think. There is such language as cheating in Igbo tradition and culture.
Men are only enjoying themselves to the fullest. If a woman wants to be in a marriage, let her forget the ideology of cheating on me. That is against divine providence for marriage.
But if a woman feels he doesn't want his man to have an affair out there, let her forget marriage and use her money to buy a man for herself or stay single and adopt kids.
So men were born to look for women to enjoy life with, provided there is no rape involved. let men tread their path with caution HIV/AIDs is real
